Once you have connected DirectFreight Express to your ReadyToShip account, there are a number of other setting options available to you as default.
We recommend setting the default options to your most common shipment types. You can manually change any settings on a per-order basis in the carrier tab if required.
To configure your settings, go to Settings > Carriers and click on the blue cog icon of your DirectFreight Express carrier, then select Settings.
Description: defaults to the carrier name.
Sort Orders by: choose which order you prefer the customer orders to be displayed in from the dropdown box options. Note: Read the dedicated help article here.
Round weights to: DirectFreight Express only accept whole numbers, so all package weights are automatically rounded up. Eg. if you have a package weight of 5.2kg it will round it up to 6kg when the label is produced. You do not need to enter anything in this box.
Merge Customer Orders: defaults to No. Change to Yes if you wish orders for the same customer to merge and ship as one. Note: The name and address must be identical for orders to merge. Read the dedicated help article here.
Delivery Instructions on Label: choose from one of the options in the drop-down, OR enter Custom Delivery Instructions. Note: text entered in this field will appear on ALL shipping labels.
Default Package Format: this is a compulsory field. You would have set this to your most common package format when connecting your carrier, but it can be changed here in future if needed.
Notify Sales Feed Name: if you need something different to the carrier name, enter it here.
If you wish to use a different return address on your orders than the address registered in your DirectFreight Express account, you can override it in the box provided on the settings page.
