You can use the Remove from Dashboard action to automatically remove orders from your active workflow when they don't need to be shipped through ReadyToShip.
For example, if customers can select Click and Collect at checkout, you can automatically remove these pickup orders from the Dashboard when they're imported.
When an order is removed from the Dashboard, ReadyToShip:
Archives the order.
Removes it from the Dashboard.
Removes it from any Shipping Run.
Adds a note to the order recording the action.
⚠️ Important: Once an Automation Rule has run against an order, the changes cannot be undone through Automation.
We recommend creating new Automatic rules as Inactive, then using Dry run to check which orders will match before making the rule Active.
Create the rule
Go to Settings > Automation and click New Rule.
Enter a Title that makes it easy to identify what the rule does.
For example:
Click and Collect – Remove from Dashboard
For Type, select:
Automatic to apply the rule automatically when orders are imported.
Manual to apply the rule only when you choose to run it.
For a new Automatic rule, leave Active turned off while you set up and test the rule.
Set the Trigger
Click Add Condition Group.
For this example, we want to identify orders where the customer selected Click and Collect at checkout.
Select Requested Shipping Service as the Trigger and set the condition to match the name of your pickup shipping method.
For example:
Shipping.Selected Shipping Carrier & Service Contains Pickup
Use the shipping method name, or part of it, that appears on the imported order in ReadyToShip:
Remove the order from the Dashboard
Click Add Action and select:
Remove from Dashboard
No further configuration is required for this action.
When a matching Click and Collect order is imported, it will be archived and removed from the Dashboard and any Shipping Run.
A note is also added to the order to record that it was removed by the Automation Rule.
Save and test the rule
Click Save, then use Dry run to check which orders match.
Check that your Click and Collect orders are being identified correctly and that orders requiring shipping aren't included.
If the correct orders are returned, set the rule to Active.
ReadyToShip will now automatically remove matching pickup orders from the Dashboard when they're imported.
Other ways to use this rule
In this example, we used Shipping.Selected Shipping Carrier & Service to identify Click and Collect orders, but you can use other Triggers to automatically remove orders that don't need to be processed through ReadyToShip.
For example:
Clear out old orders – remove orders placed before a particular date if they no longer need to be shipped.
Orders fulfilled from another warehouse – remove orders being sent to a particular country or location. For example, remove orders with a New Zealand shipping address if they're fulfilled by your New Zealand warehouse.
Orders fulfilled by a 3PL – remove orders containing a particular SKU if those products are shipped by a third-party logistics provider.
You can use any appropriate Trigger or combination of conditions to identify the orders you want to remove.
⚠️ Important: Matching orders are archived and removed from the Dashboard, so use Dry run to make sure your rule identifies only the orders you intend to remove before making it Active.
Check the priority of your rule
If you have other Automatic rules, consider where the Click and Collect rule should sit in your Automation list.
If you don't want any other Automation Rules applied to pickup orders, place this rule before those rules and turn on:
Stop after this rule — no further rules run when this rule matches
This ensures a matching Click and Collect order is removed before any subsequent shipping rules are applied.
See Set the priority of Automation Rules for more information about rule order and Stop after this rule.
