Step 1: Set up an account with Couriers Please
To use Couriers Please with ReadyToShip you will need a Couriers Please account. If you don't have one already, contact them here.
Step 2: Request an API key from Couriers Please
If you already have an API key you can skip to Step 4.
In ReadyToShip, go to Settings ⇒ Carriers ⇒ Add Carrier and choose the Couriers Please option.
Fill out the form, click Request API Key and we will create one for you.
It can take a day or two for Couriers Please to set up the account. You will be notified by email when it is ready to go and you will receive an API Key.
Step 3: Wait for your API key to be sent by Couriers Please
This usually takes around 24 to 48 hours.
Step 4: Enter your API key so we can retrieve your orders
When you receive the key, follow the same steps again but this time click ""I already have an API Key".
Enter your Account Number and API Key and click Test Connection. You should receive confirmation that the connection is now working.
Working with Couriers Please
Now that the connection is set up, you can start assigning orders to this carrier, create labels and receive tracking numbers to send back to your store.
Keep in mind that Couriers Please do not have a separate "manifest" step or any way to delete consignments. If you need to recreate a label, generate a new one and we will record the new tracking number.
If a label is printed incorrectly simply discard it. It is important to make sure to use the most recent label. The label that is scanned by the driver is used for tracking, so an old label will have an out-of-date tracking number and the customer will not be able to track their parcel.
You will only be charged for labels that are scanned when they are picked up.
Booking Pickups with Couriers Please
Our system does not request a pickup. You need to organise a regular or ad hoc pickup directly with Couriers Please.
