User access

Manage, add, deactivate, or delete Users.

ReadyToShip allows you to add an unlimited number of users to your account.

Creating various user accounts can have the following benefits:

  • Be able to see which team member performed different actions in your Order System Notes

  • Limit access to employees who don't require full Admin access

  • Set the User to Inactive if they leave

User Roles

  • Admin User - full access to all features of ReadyToShip

  • Normal User - access to all features required to process/ship orders - but no access to any edit any Settings.

  • Read Only Access - can view orders and use the Search function, but cannot perform any steps or access Settings.

You cannot limit what a user can see in ReadyToShip, only the actions they can perform. For example, carrier rates cannot be hidden.


Manage Users

You can manage users in Settings > Users

Add a User

  • Navigate to Settings > Users.

  • Click the New User button on the left-hand side panel.

  • Fill in the required details, including Role. By default, the new User will be set to Read-Only Access. Change this using the dropdown box if required.

  • Set User to Active.

  • Save.

Deactivate a User

  • Navigate to Settings > Users

  • Select your User

  • Uncheck the User Active button

  • Save

Delete a User

This action is not recommended. You will lose any actions taken by this user in your system notes. It would be best for you to deactivate them instead.

  • Navigate to Settings > Users

  • Select your User

  • Click Delete
