How do I change the Sender or Return Address on my labels?

Different carriers handle return addresses on labels in different ways.

FThe way return addresses are managed can vary depending on the carrier you’re using. In most cases, you can update the return (sender) address directly in ReadyToShip. However, some carriers require changes to be made externally.


Before you start

  • Some carriers (e.g. Aramex / MyFastway) require you to contact them directly to update your return address on your contract.

  • Couriers Please uses a separate Pick Up Address setting, which can be updated via
    Settings → Carriers → Couriers Please.


Ways to set your Sender/Return Address

You can configure the sender/return address at two levels:

1. Store (Channel) Level

At the Store level, a return address is required for each connected store/channel.

  • This address is automatically applied to all orders imported from that store, regardless of which carrier is used.

  • Make sure all address details are valid—especially suburb and postcode combinations—to avoid label errors.


2. Carrier Level (Optional Override)

You can also set a return/sender address at the carrier level.

  • If configured, this address will override the Store-level address for labels created with that carrier.


How to set the Store Return/Sender Address

  1. Go to Settings → Stores

  2. Select and edit your store

  3. Enter or update the return address details

Important:

  • The Name field must be completed

  • Ensure the suburb and postcode match valid postal data

  • Click Save when finished

Tip:
If you receive a suburb/postcode mismatch error:

  • Open the order in ReadyToShip

  • Select the correct suburb/postcode from the suggestions

  • Save the order


How to set the Carrier Return/Sender Address

  1. Go to Settings → Carriers

  2. Select your carrier connection

  3. Update the address fields as required

  4. Click Save

You can also update the sender/return name in this section.

Important:

  • The Name field must be completed

  • Ensure the suburb and postcode are valid

  • Always click Save after making changes
