Resetting a DHL Express Order

How to update a DHL Express shipping label in ReadyToShip

Written by Anita Williams

Unlike some carriers, DHL Express labels do not need to be cancelled or deleted before you make changes.

A DHL Express consignment does not become active, and you are not charged, until it has been scanned by a DHL driver and enters the DHL network.

Update a DHL Express label

If you need to change the shipping address, package details, weight, or other shipment information:

  1. Select the order in ReadyToShip.

  2. Make the required changes and click Save.

  3. Click Print Labels.

  4. When prompted, choose Update (not Reprint).

  5. Print the new shipping label.

  6. Remove and discard the old label, then attach the newly printed label to your parcel.

⚠️ Important: Every time you update a DHL Express shipment, a new tracking number may be generated. Always discard any previous labels and relabel the parcel using the newly printed label. Using an outdated label may result in the shipment being returned or delayed.
