How are AusPost eParcel service codes updated in ReadyToShip?

What happens when your eParcel account changes?

Written by Meegan

Key points

  • ReadyToShip automatically syncs Australia Post eParcel service codes using your Australia Post API key.

  • Updates run nightly to keep your service codes current.

  • You can manually trigger a sync by saving your eParcel carrier settings.

  • ReadyToShip does not show the date when service codes were added or updated.

  • Updates typically occur within 24 hours of Australia Post applying changes to your account.

Automatic Updates

When Australia Post updates your service codes in their system, ReadyToShip automatically syncs those changes to your account using the Australia Post API, typically within 24 hours.

This process runs overnight, ensuring your service codes remain up to date without requiring manual updates.

Manually Trigger a Service Code Update

If your service codes have not updated yet, it usually means Australia Post has not applied the changes to your account via their API.

You can trigger a manual sync:

  1. Go to Settings > Carriers

  2. Open your eParcel carrier

  3. Scroll to the bottom

  4. Click Save

Saving the carrier prompts ReadyToShip to request the latest service codes from the Australia Post API.

If the codes still do not update, this means that Australia Post has not yet applied the changes. You can either try the manual sync again later or wait for the next overnight update.

Alternatively, you can contact your Australia Post account manager to confirm whether the changes have been applied to your account. You should also check your notification letter, as that should have a commencement date.

Limitations

ReadyToShip does not display the date when a service code was added or updated. While service codes are synced automatically, the platform does not show a history of these changes.
