Prevent Shopify Orders from Importing into ReadyToShip

How to tell ReadytoShip to ignore specific order types

Written by Meegan

You can control which Shopify orders are imported into ReadyToShip by using order tags. This is useful for excluding orders that aren’t ready to be fulfilled yet, such as pre-orders or orders on hold.

How it works

If an order in Shopify includes certain tags, ReadyToShip can be set to ignore it during import. This allows you to manage fulfillment timing more effectively.

Set up tag exclusions

  1. In ReadyToShip, go to Settings

  2. Click Stores

  3. Find your Shopify store and click the blue gear icon

  4. Select Settings

  5. In the field “Do not import orders including any of these tags (comma separated)”, enter the tags you want to exclude

    • Example: Pre-order, Hold

  6. Click Save

Notes

  • Tags must match exactly as they appear in Shopify

  • Separate multiple tags with commas

  • This setting only applies to Shopify stores

If you later remove those tags from an order in Shopify, it will be eligible for import the next time orders are synced.
