When an order is highlighted in red, ReadyToShip has detected that the order changed in your online store after it was imported.
This warning helps prevent you from shipping an order that may no longer need to be shipped.
Common reasons include:
The order was cancelled.
The order was fully or partially refunded.
The order was fulfilled outside ReadyToShip.
The order details were updated after being imported.
Check why the order is highlighted
Before deciding what to do, check the System Notes to see what changes ReadyToShip detected.
To view the System Notes:
Click the expand arrow next to the order to display additional details.
Select the System Notes tab.
Review the messages describing the changes detected since the order was imported.
The System Notes will help you determine whether the order should still be shipped or removed from ReadyToShip.
Choose the correct action
Once you've reviewed the System Notes, choose the option that matches your situation.
Continue shipping the order
If the changes don't affect your ability to fulfil the order, you can continue processing it in ReadyToShip.
Examples include:
The customer was partially refunded, but the remaining items still need to be shipped.
The order was updated with information that doesn't affect fulfilment.
You've reviewed the changes and confirmed the order still needs to be shipped.
To continue processing the order
Select Ignore.
The red highlight changes to an orange highlight, and you can continue processing the shipment as normal.
Note: Selecting Ignore doesn't change the order in your online store. It simply tells ReadyToShip that you've reviewed the changes and want to continue processing the shipment.
Remove the order from ReadyToShip
If the changes mean the order should no longer be shipped, remove the conflicted copy of the order from ReadyToShip.
Examples include:
The order was cancelled.
The order was fully refunded.
The order was already fulfilled outside ReadyToShip.
The order products have changed and you need the new version imported.
To remove the order
Select Discard and Refetch.
ReadyToShip removes the current copy of the order.
If the order is still eligible to be imported from your online store, it will be imported again with its latest information.
Note: If the order no longer meets your import criteria (for example, it has been cancelled), it won't be imported again.
Frequently asked questions
What does Discard and Refetch do?
Discard and Refetch removes the current copy of the order from ReadyToShip and checks your online store for the latest version.
If the order still exists and meets your import rules, it will be imported again with the updated information.
Why didn't my order come back?
If the order isn't imported again, it's usually because it no longer meets your import criteria. For example, the order may have been cancelled, fulfilled, or otherwise excluded from being imported.
I just want to remove an order from ReadyToShip
If the order isn't highlighted in red and you simply don't want to process it in ReadyToShip, see How to remove orders from ReadyToShip instead.
