You can specify a different carrier name when tracking data is sent to your store.
This is particularly important when integrating with platforms where mismatched carrier names can lead to incorrect tracking links or mixed tracking IDs.
Why have we done this?
For example, tracking links may default to the wrong carrier, such as Australia Post, or tracking IDs from different carriers may be mixed. Ensuring carrier name consistency between systems is crucial to avoid these issues.
Some platforms look for specific carrier names in the tracking information so they can generate tracking URLs.
Some of our customers would like to change the Carrier Name that is uploaded to their store when tracking details are sent.
To do that, we have included an option in the Carrier Settings page called Notify Sales Feed Name.
It is critical to ensure that the name entered here matches exactly with the carrier name configured in your store platform, to avoid tracking mismatches.
Here is an example of the eParcel Carrier settings page showing you the field.
To update the Notify Sales Feed Name go to Settings > Carriers, then click on the carrier you wish to edit. Scroll down to the Notify Sales Feed Name field, enter the preferred details, then click 'Save'.
β
After saving, test the configuration by shipping a test order and verifying the tracking link in your store platform. If issues persist, double-check the carrier name consistency and review your carrier connections in ReadyToShip.
